So you want to teach a class?

Mt. Airy Learning Tree is always interested in new ideas for classes. Complete the Course proposal form online. After completing the form, click "Submit," and the form will be sent to the office. Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas with us.

Spring term proposal deadline is February 1st.
Fall term proposal deadline is June 1st.
Winter term proposal deadline is October 1st.

What Is the name of your Course?

Write a specific 50-100 word course description. Refer to the class capsules in the catalog for examples.

Put yourself in the student's shoes. What will students get out of the course? Why should they take this class?

Provide a biographic statement about yourself, your experience and why you are qualified to teach this class.

What day(s), date(s), time of day would you like to teach the class? Please be specific.

How long would each class be? One hour, two? Longer? 
How many sessions or weeks would it take to teach the course? We have found that 2-8 weeks is reasonable, over 8 becomes an unrealistic committment for students to make. 
The MALT minimum for every class is 5 students. What is the Maximum number of students you would like to teach? 
MALT reserves the right to adjust these numbers depending on the classroom size.
